Carrie Underwood Doesn’t Expect A Lot On Mother’s Day

Carrie Underwood doesn't expect a lot on Mother's Day, but somehow, her husband and boys deliver every year and make the superstar mom smile.  Carrie recently told us about what she did as a child on Mother's Day. She said, "I feel like I remember me and Dad making breakfast for Mom like once as a kid. I'm pretty sure we just made a giant mess in the kitchen, and we never did that again." Mother's Day Traditions She added that these days, "We don't really have like any Mother's Day traditions. Being on the other side of things, I obviously don't expect anything, but my husband's really good at getting presents from quote-unquote Isaiah." She concluded of her sons, "It's really sweet because they like to bring me things. Such sweet little guys, and anytime he's (her oldest Isaiah) outside, he'll pick me flowers and things. So, I'm like, 'You're learning. You've already got me wrapped around your finger, and then you do stuff like that, and it's even more so.'" RELATED: Carrie Underwood Went Back To The Mother Church Baby Bird Underwood recently saved a baby bird at her home near Nashville and posted about the event on her social media.  The country superstar posted a video of the baby bird on Instagram and shared what happened. In a lengthy post, she captioned the video clip, "About a week ago, a bird fell out of its nest outside of my door. It was clearly way too young to take care of itself. We tried to put it back, but the next day, it was out of the nest again. This time, it was dead."   She continued, "It also had a sibling nearby…I figure the mother abandoned the nest because it smelled like humans. I scooped up the bird and brought it inside. It was weak and scared. I gave it some liquid first because I thought it would be quite dehydrated. Next, I made it a smoothie of dried larvae (chicken treats), boiled eggs, water and a few berries. It soon started to gain strength, and its feathers started growing."  Carrie concluded, "Now, I feed it every time I walk by and clean up the messes. I think it likes the old beanie I put it in. Of course, life would've been better with mama bird, but I knew it wouldn't last long on its own. Hopefully, I can release it within the next couple of days, and the interaction it has had with us hasn't messed up its bird-hood!
