Contest Rules
SAFETY INSURANCE TEACHER OF THE MONTH
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
These rules apply to the Safety Insurance Teacher of the Month Contest (“Contest”) conducted by Beasley Media Group, LLC d/b/a WKLB-FM / Country 102.5 (“Station”). In addition, the General Contest Rules posted at www.country1025.com apply to this Contest. If there is a conflict between the General Contest Rules and the Rules for this Contest, the Rules for this Contest shall control.
1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The Contest will begin on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 and end on Friday, June 30th, 2023.
b. To enter online, visit www.country1025.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Contest and complete and submit the online entry form beginning on February 1st, 2023 and ending on Friday, June 30th 2023. Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station's Privacy Policy. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Contest administrator.
c. Entrants will be required to nominate a local teacher/educator (the “Nominee”), and describe why/what the Nominee does that goes above and beyond in an essay of two hundred (200) words or less (“Essay”). Entrants must fill in all required fields, including name, email, phone number and date of birth in the online entry form. Obscene, provocative, or otherwise objectionable content will not be considered, and such determination is solely at the discretion of the Station.
d. Each Essay submitted must not contain copyrighted materials or any other materials that may be restricted, prohibited, or outlawed by any laws, or materials that may otherwise infringe on the rights of a third party. The Essay may not invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights including but not limited to copyrights or trademarks. The Station shall have the right to disqualify any entrant if it determines that the Essay contains copyrighted material or material that infringes on the rights of another; indecent or otherwise offensive material such as violence or drug abuse; or if such Essay contains material that is deemed to be unsuitable for a public audience. The Station’s determination with respect to all such matters shall be made in its sole discretion and shall be final. Essays that do not comply with these rules will not be eligible for the Contest. By submitting an Essay, all entrants agree that they have permission to post the Essay and grant Station permission to post their Essay on www.country1025.com for promotional purposes.
e. Entrants may submit multiple nominations but may nominate a Nominee a maximum of one (1) time per Contest. A Nominee may be nominated multiple times, but only if by different entrants. Nominees are eligible to win in the Contest only once. An entrant may nominate him/herself.
f. There will be up to a total of five (5) Qualifying Prize-winning Nominees and one (1) Grand Prize-winning Nominee selected in the Contest.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. This Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry into the Contest, who are legal US residents and reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, except where prohibited by law. Winners must possess a valid, government-issued ID and show proof of residency to verify eligibility. These eligibility restrictions apply to both the entrant and the Nominee.
b. Prizes will be awarded to the Nominee listed on the online entry form, not the entrant (unless the entrant has nominate him/herself).
3. PRIZES
a. Up to five (5) Qualifying Prizes will be awarded. Each Qualifying Prize consists one (1) five hundred dollar ($500) Amazon gift card that may be used to purchase supplies for their classroom. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Qualifying Prize is $500.
The gift card will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuer of the gift card. Gift cards are not refundable or transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will gift cards be replaced if lost or stolen.
b. Up to one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize consists of one (1) five hundred dollar ($500) Amazon gift card and a pair of tickets to Zac Brown Band on August 19th, 2023 at Fenway Park. ARV of the Grand Prize is $750.
The gift card will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuer of the gift card. Gift cards are not refundable or transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will gift cards be replaced if lost or stolen.
The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond control of the Station and/or prize provider, their sole responsibility to the winner(s) will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize(s) and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the unawarded element(s) of the prize(s). The Station and/or venue, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove the winner(s) and/or guest(s) if either engages in disruptive behavior, does not follow Station and/or venue policy regarding COVID-19 guidelines, or in a manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the prize-related event. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in attending the prize-related event.
c. Prizes or prize certificates must be claimed as described by the Station at the time of winning. Failure to claim Prize by the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to claim the Prize or prize certificate within the timeline provided in these Official Rules.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
a. Up to five (5) Qualifying Prize-winning Nominees will be selected as follows:
Up to one (1) Qualifying Prize-winning Nominee will be selected at approximately 9:00am ET on each of the dates listed below in a Station-conducted random drawing from all eligible online entries received during the Contest. Potential Qualifying Prize-winning Nominee will be notified by phone and/or email promptly following the random drawing. Essays will not be judged for the purpose of selecting winners.

v. July 3rd, 2023
Non-selected Nominees must be re-nominated for each Entry Period in order to be eligible for later random drawings. Entries will be discarded after each random drawing.
b. Up to one (1) Grand Prize-winning Nominee will be selected at approximately 10:00am ET on July 3rd, 2023 in a Station-conducted random drawing from all Qualifying Prize-winning Nominees. Potential Grand Prize-winning Nominee will be notified by phone and/or email promptly following the random drawing.
c. Odds of winning a Qualifying Prize depend on the number of eligible online entries received during the Contest. Odds of a Qualifying Prize-winning Nominee winning the Grand Prize are 1 in 5.
d. Entrants/Nominees need not listen to the Station or be present to win.
e. Winning Nominee must confirm acceptance of prize within fourteen (14) days of winning, or risk disqualification and selection of an alternate Qualifying Prize-winning Nominee (time permitting) in a random drawing of all remaining eligible entries; or selection of an alternate Grand Prize-winning Nominee (time permitting) in a random drawing of all remaining Qualifying Prize-winning Nominees.
f. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final
5. CONDITIONS
a. The Station reserves the right to end any contest or amend these rules upon announcement on air and by publication at www.country1025.com.
b. For website contests: By use of the Station’s website and by entering this Contest, entrants agree to the Station’s Terms of Service Agreement and to the use of Personal Information as stated in the Privacy Policy located at www.country1025.com.
c. Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of the Station, 1075 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02453, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Station.
