When we last saw Michael Ray he was on stage performing live along side Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Russell Dickerson and Chris Lane for our Country 1025 Acoustic Live show in Boston. That was over a year ago, so there was much to catch up on when I got to talk to Michael today.
During the pandemic Ray created the YouTube series, Honky Tonk Tuesdays, where he invites some of his musical heroes to perform and talk about their music and their lives.
Michael has been busy making music in the studio too. He wanted to get back to his roots and released the vintage vibey, “Whiskey and Rain.”
We talk about all this, and play a round of “The Ray Way.”
