Following up on his #1 hit, “Pretty Heart,” Parker McCollum has released “To Be Loved By You.” The song came out of a remark about his now-fiancée, Hallie Ray Light, and found it’s way onto his tour bus, where he wrote about it. Eventually it ended in a songwriting session with Rhett Akins.
I talked to Parker about about the song, the video, his tour with Dierks Bentley, that sadly had to be cancelled at the Xfinity Center due to Covid-19 within the band. Parker is a big Houston Astros fan, so was recently at Fenway for a game. Btw, this Texas boy is a big fan of Boston, for real!
Of course, there’s a game. Get to know Parker better by listening to his answers on a game I call, “Parker the Remarker.”
