Dierks Bentley is back! We missed him last year at what has become kind of a tradition around here, his show at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield. But the “American Girl” singer is back with his Gravel and Gold Tour.

This tour bring Chase Rice and newcomer Kaitlyn Butts to New England. Gravel and Gold is the name of Bentley’s latest album featuring his #1 hit “Gold.” His latest release is the first single off the Petty Country project, which has an impressive lineup of country artists singing Tom Petty songs.

Dierks and I talk about “American Girl” and the project, Petty Country. We also chat about his return to the Boston area and of course there’s a little hockey talk (he’s a big fan and his son is playing).
