The Walk for Hunger is a powerful movement that unites us all to fight hunger in Massachusetts. The 57th Annual Walk is taking place on Sunday, May 4th at Boston Common.

Did you know that 1 in 5 families in Massachusetts face the daily worry of putting food on the table? To help combat this crisis, in 1969, The Walk for Hunger was born from a promise—by the people of Massachusetts—to stand with our neighbors facing food insecurity and provide them the relief they deserve. Your neighbors need your help more than ever. Your support is what makes dignified access to food a reality. Together, we’re moving closer to a Massachusetts where no one has to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
According to the Project Bread website, The Walk for Hunger is one of Boston’s most beloved and enduring community events. This powerful movement unites people from all walks of life to raise funds for hunger relief and ensures our neighbors can access food with the dignity they deserve. The in-person Walk for Hunger on Boston Common features a scenic 3-mile route, perfect for all ages and abilities. With each lap spanning 1 mile, you’ll enjoy live entertainment, exciting surprises, and plenty of fun along the way. It’s more than a walk — it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and making a difference together!
