Boston’s newest seafood restaurant and speak easy opens this week inside Encore Boston Harbor casino. Seamark Seafood & Cocktails is the brain child of Sean Christie, CEO of Carver Road Hospitality. Seamark is Carver Road’s latest innovation which features an 82-seat main dining room, a 30-seat alcove dining room and a 41-seat showcase bar and lounge. Seamark also features a 34-seat outdoor terrace, 21-seat corridor terrace, and 16-seat private dining room.
The cuisine features “a unique pier-to-plate concept, Seamark’s culinary program will be skillfully helmed by James Beard award-winning Chef Michael Schlow.” Offerings include everything from The House Crab Cake to Tuna Tartare. Entrees include Grilled Swordfish, a “New Style Fish & Chips” and a Center Cut Filet Mignon.
As part of Seamark’s soft openings, I was able to try some of their signature dishes. My personal favorite was Jimmy’s Chopped Salad and the Homemade Spaghetti “Fra Diavolo.” The Crunchy Shrimp Tempura was delicious as well as The House Crab Cake. If you don’t want seafood or a meat dish, the Roasted Cauliflower will not disappoint as the different flavors compliment each other perfectly.
While the full bar was not open when I went, as it was a very soft opening, I was not able to try any of their signature cocktails. I was told their drinks will blow us all away. Not to mention their speak easy bar, Old Wives Tale, is an absolute sight to see. It will be open until 2am Friday and Saturday nights offering bar bites and drinks. As for the restaurant hours:
5 PM – 11 PM 4 PM – 2 AM (BAR MENU ONLY AFTER 11 PM) 10 AM – 4 PM (BRUNCH). Brunch will begin on Sunday, April 21.
