Conditions were supposed to be ideal to see the Northern Lights last night in New England. I was excited - I saw the Aurora Borealis once and they were the most magical thing I've seen in nature in all of my life. So I set alarms on my phone to make sure I didn't miss them. I took photos - here's what I saw:

9:17pm - Clouds

We had gotten 2 days worth of rain leading up to this viewing and I was hoping the clouds would break for our sky show. Not yet.


11:43pm - More Clouds

After watching New Hampshire Primary coverage pretty much all night, I let my dog Bubble out before bed and snapped this pic. Still just clouds...


3:01am - What is that silhouette?

It's a tree. Just a dang tree. I set my alarm for stupid o'clock to see clouds and a tree silhouette. My life rules. Ok... better luck next time! Zzzz...
