There were Super Bowl wins. Many Super Bowl wins. There were also moments of frustration after crushing last minute defeats and heartbreaks like the end to the perfect season. We lived through it all via the facial expressions of Coach Bill Belichick.
Of course I’m being sarcastic. Bill’s famous for his stoic expressionless faces during the Patriots’ biggest moments over the past 20 years. But as we say goodbye to Bill, there WERE a few fleeting moments when we got a smile out of Coach Belichick during boat parades through the streets of Boston. But as his time with the New England Patriots came to a close after Tom Brady’s departure, the smiles became harder to find. Out of the approximately 2000 photos we have in our station archives, we found a couple dozen where Coach Belichick cracked… and smiled. Fortunately our photographers captured these ultra rare Kodak moments.
Here’s to many more smiles in retirement Coach. You’ve earned it.
