Ok Boston foodies, this one’s for you! Dine Out Boston 2023 is coming. Formally known as Restaurant Week, the event brought to you by Meet Boston aka the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors. Dine Out Boston happens twice a year, in March and in August. It gives restaurants the chance to get more business during traditionally slow months.

The two week event gives diners the chance to sample different restaurants and cuisines. It could be one of your favorite restaurants, or one that you’ve been wanting to try. And there’s a little bit of everything. Well-known chain restaurants, as well as local chef-owned ones. There are also many types of food. From Italian and seafood, to barbeque and Mexican, French, Mediterranean, and more. Check out restaurants from Boston and Cambridge, as well as north, west, and south of the city. Dine Out Boston will take place from August 6th – 19th.

How does Dine Out Boston work?

So participating restaurants design prix fixe menus, basically several courses at one set price, for lunch and dinner. The restaurants then picks one of the three price options and sets the menu.

What’s it going to cost me?

Lunch prices are $22, $27, and $32 dollars. Dinner prices are $36, $41, and $46 dollars. Prices are per person and exclude beverages, tax and gratuities.

Do I need reservations?

In a word, yes. Reservations are strongly encouraged. You can make reservations at dineoutboston.com. You can also contact the restaurants directly.

Coming soon to Dine Out Boston

Starting on August 7, you can bid on $100 gift cards for participating  restaurants.  Proceeds go to charity. Proceeds from the March 2023 Auction benefitted the Esplanade Association and Zumix.

So whether you’re looking for a new steakhouse to try, some mouthwatering seafood, or some yummy Mediterranean cuisine, the event has something for you. And after checking your budget, you could decide on a less expensive lunch, or splurge on dinner. No matter what you do, hope you enjoy all that Boston area dining has to offer.
