I am sure by now most of you have heard of Boston’s newest music venue, MGM Music Hall at Fenway. This brand-new, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose performing arts center has been mindfully designed to give us the best concert experience possible.

With the exception of Roadrunner in Brighton, which opened in March 2022, it has been quite some time since Boston has gotten a new music venue, and MGM Music Hall pulled out all the stops.

We have all you need to know about Boston’s newest music venue. Here is the inside scoop on MGM Music Hall at Fenway.

  • What is the capacity?

    MGM has 5,000 seats. This venue is smaller than The Garden but larger than House Of Blues.

  • There are three VIP Lounge areas

    The VIP Lounge areas are located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. The Jim Bean Distillers room is on the 2nd floor, the Mass Mutual Lounge on the 3rd floor, and head on up to the Truly rooftop for some awesome vibes and views.

  • It's shaped like a triangle

    The 91,500 square-foot venue is shaped like a triangle and makes for great acoustics!

  • The venue has three levels

    With three different levels, MGM offers a variety of seating options that all have great views of the stage. With a G/A floor with a generous tilt for the ultimate viewing experience, two levels of auditorium seating, various lounge/ bar seats, there is not a bad seat in the house!

  • no seat is farther than 110 feet from the stage

    Unlike a lot of other Boston venues with nosebleed seats and obstructed views, there are literally no bad seats, even on the highest level.

  • There is a bar and bathroom every floor

    Wherever you are sitting, you do not have to go far to get a drink or go to the bathroom! It is much easier than most Boston venues to get what you need and head back to your seats so you don’t miss too much of the show. They even have the show playing on the speakers in the bathroom, it doesn’t get much easier than this!

  • Lobby

    In this gorgeous new lobby there is a bar,  merch, and coat check. There are two staircases that lead to the upper levels, and elevator access.

  • MGM has many sister venues throughout Boston

    The Crossroads sister venues are Paradise Rock Club, The Orpheum Theater, and Brighton Music Hall.

  • What is parking like?

    MGM Music Hall at Fenway does not own or operate any parking lots, and strongly encourages fans to take public transportation to the venue whenever possible.

    If you do choose to drive, there are several paid lots in the Fenway Park/Kenmore area which may be open on show nights. Leave extra time to park as this can be tough on show nights, especially if there is a game at Fenway Park.

  • What is the bag policy?

    The MGM Music Hall has a CLEAR BAG policy. To reduce staff contact with guest belongings, only the following bags are allowed:
    -Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags (Maximum size: 12″ x 6″ x 12″)
    -Non-clear small clutch bags or wallets (Maximum size: 4.5″ x 6.5″)
    All bags are subject to search by security.

  • Is there an age restriction?

    Most shows at MGM Music Hall at Fenway are All Ages. For shows with an age restriction all patrons MUST present a government issued photo ID to gain entry to the club.

  • Is there a coat check?

    Yes, available in the lobby. You may check items other than coats at the coat check.

  • Prohibited Items:

    ALL WEAPONS PROHIBITED:
    Guests, including law enforcement personnel not present in an official capacity, are prohibited from bringing weapons into the venue. We do not provide weapon lockers. Weapons may not be checked in.

    Weapons include, but are not limited to, the following: firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, pepper spray, tear gas, projectiles of any kind, knives and weapon replicas. Guests found in possession of the above-mentioned items will be asked to remove the item from the venue or dispose of it. Guests who refuse to comply will be evicted from the premises.

    ADDITIONAL ITEMS
    Illegal drugs or substances of any kind including marijuana, drugparaphernalia, bags or backpacks that do not comply with venue’s bag policy, alcohol cans or glass containers, outside food or drink (except approved items), Go-Pros, selfie sticks, laser pointers, unsealed liquids or gels, jewelry or clothing that could inflict harm including spiked jewelry, and stuffed animals or toys.

    The list of prohibited items is subject to change at the discretion of venue management.

  • Accessibility:

    The MGM Music Hall is an accessible venue

    If you would like to be on the floor for a general admission show, please purchase a general admission ticket and the venue will make best accommodations at the time of arrival to the venue. Both the Curve Level and the Balcony have reserved accessible locations available for purchase as well. We are equipped with an elevator as well as ramps where necessary. The venue does not have wheelchairs available for patrons to use/borrow. Assisted listening devices are available by request.

    For inquiries into a sign interpreted show, please contact the venue by emailing info.mgmfenway@crossroadspresents.com at least 3 weeks prior to any performance to inquire about sign interpreter availability.
