It was a day we will never, ever, EVER forget, as Red Sox fans. We spent so many late nights, prayers, sweat, tears and beers leading up to October 27, 2004.  Oh, but when it happened, it was the greatest feeling of sports eurphoria I’ve ever experienced. And clearly, I was not alone. Millions of fans finally got to see the Red Sox reach the pinacle of success that we had longed for…86 years after the last time. The Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals to claim trophy.  We won the World Series, in what seemed a task so impossible at first, because we had to get through the Yankees. That feat was honestly the greatest part of the journey.

So, Red Sox fans let’s celebrate the 18th anniversary of “The Idiots” pulling off the ultimate redemption, and breaking the curse of the Bambino 31,410.85 days later (but who’s counting)  Take a look at some of these celebratory posts today.
