It’s National Barbie Day! Barbie has been around a long time. She made her debut on this day, March 9th, 1959 at the American International Toy Fair in New York. The iconic toy from Mattel has been filling up the store shelves and our hearts for 63 years.

What better way to celebrate than by taking a look at some celebrity Barbie Dolls. Specifically, 6 country superstars who have their own Barbie Dolls, and 3 who should! Which country artists would you like to see as a Barbie?

  • 1. Martina McBride

Mattel was inspired to create a Martina McBride Barbie Doll in 2005 because she was all about “girl power.”  The doll is wearing a white dress and cropped hair, inspired by McBride’s look t at the CMA Awards in 2004.

  • 3. Dolly Parton

Techincally, Dolly doesn’t have a Barbie brand doll in her likeness, but she has a “poseable doll” in her likeness. I mean, come on, it’s Dolly. There should be a Mattel Barbie for the woman who put out an album called “Backwoods Barbie,” and has given the world so much.

  • 4. Tim McGraw

Back in 2011 Mattel put Tim McGraw on the shelf. But he had to come as a package deal with his wife, Faith Hill. The product was made in celebration of the couples 15th wedding anniversary.

  • 5. Faith Hill

Ok, so you’ve seen the Faith Hill Barbie Doll. But this was major news back in the day. Even CNN covered it, and asked, “what do you get the couple who has everything?” This is what you get:

  • 6. LeAnn Rimes

Mattel created the LeAnn Rimes doll and made it available to fans in 2005. It was to commemorate the artist’s sucess as a Grammy Award winning singer and actress.

  • Country Star #1 Who Should Have Their Own Barbie Doll

    Kelsea Ballerini

She’s beautiful, extrememly popular, sing writes her own songs and always adovcates for women. Mattel should consider this dress on Kelsea, from her 2023 Grammy Awards appearance.
