Don't get me wrong. I love a pumpkin spiced latte. I also enjoy a candle that's scented with the ubiquitous autumn spices. But every year it seem that the seasonal flavors and scents are just over the top. Case in point, the following items. Here, you will see for yourself 7 super silly pumpkin spice products to try...if you dare!

With the help from a couple of sources, The Take Out and Wide Open Country, I'm sharing a few of my favorite things that I would likely not partake. But these 7 super silly pumpkin spice products to try if you dare are certainly entertaining. And let's face it. We are all likely on social media right now for the entertainment.

What can you pumpkin spice? More like, what CAN'T you pumpkin spice. I'm surprised there hasn't been a pumpkin spiced wedding. Image the bride wears orange and the bridesmaids are dripping in nutmeg colored dresses. Ok, that may seem overboard, but then again so does pumpkin spicing doggy dental treats. Yup, they made the list here.

Pumpkin Money

The fact is pumpkin spice to good for the economy. Last year, gobankingrates.com reported that it's actually been a shopping trend for the last 2 decades. It all started with Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice Latte in 2003 and it has ballooned since then. Pumpkin spice fans spent upwards of over a half billion dollars on products.

Pumpkin spice is such a part of our culture now, it prompted Forbes to declare it “the pumpkin spice industrial complex.” The astounding sales numbers don't even account for beer. "Pumpkin-tinged beer sales aren't included in the $600 million market estimate; the product falls under the "seasonal beer" category," according to Forbes.

Why are we SO crazy for the flavors of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Experts have said it's likely a couple of factors. One being it conjures up warm, fuzzy memories of childhood and family around the holidays. The other is simply because it's seasonal. We know it won't be around all year, so we consumers scoop it up in volumes!

2. Dog Brew

Come on! Not my hummus. We go through a lot of the smashed-up chickpea delight in my house. I have bought quite a few flavors of hummus over the years. But this one has never made my list. Is it a dessert or is it an appetizer spread. Hmmm.

5. Dog Dental Treats

You know you want to. But does Fido want to? My guess if Fido is like my dog, the answer is YES! Any treat in a storm will suffice. A little something for your pup to spice up the season.

6. PEEPS

Shouldn't there be a rule, not to intermingle holiday treats? You don't pumpkin spice a Spring treat. But obviously, someone did. And that someone is the PEEP's company. The Easter treat has been sprinkled with flavors of Fall. They were first introduced in 2015. I haven't seen them on shelves as of late, though. Have you? Could be a good sign.

7. Wipes

This cannot be real. And yet it is. Even the name sounds like something from an SNL skit. I'm rendered speechless here. To each his own?
