There is much joyfulness in the music of Adia Clark Lay. The Berklee College of Music student exudes so much positive energy, it’s impossible not to want to board her train to utopia.

It’s not just the music, if you follow Adia on social media you’ll find a seemingly genuine effervescent artist. Her energy and enthusiasm for her craft is refreshing and inspiring.

Lay recently released her original song, “Wanna Go Back.” The carefree spirit of the track has her longing to go back to warmer days, and fond memories of a person that captured her heart. It’s a buoyant bop that may feel light, but reaches deep into a lost love. Her vocals are playful when needed, then step back to express some regret.

Adia Clark Lay Is Off and Running

A full-time student by day, Adia Clark Lay puts her endless energy to work as an artist on the stage, in the studio and getting her music out there on social media. She strikes me as a hustler, in the best sense of the word. You just know this girl is not giving up. The tenacity, talent and work ethic of this young woman is exactly what it takes to make it. And honestly, she’s only just getting started. So, look out world.

Meet Adia Clark Lay, here. Find out where she is playing, hear her new song and learn a little about a true talent in our midst. This is a great way to support a local artist. But, even better is sharing her story and music. And be sure to catch Adia performing live if you get a chance.  She has a bunch of show dates coming up and there are listed for you, right here. Meanwhile, I’ll just be here listening and rooting for this seriously creative, young woman.
