Bar Rescue’s Jon Taffer just opened a brand new restaurant/bar in Watertown called “Taffer’s Tavern.” The Grand Opening Celebration was yesterday, and he pulled out all the stops for the event. The hospitality entrepreneur cut the ribbon at the opening of of Taffer’s Tavern in Watertown, MA at Arsenal Yards. It’s a franchise, but this is his first location in the Greater Boston area. Yesterday’s fete featured actress, TV personality and Massachusetts native, Maria Menounos, Watertown Council President Mark S. Sideris, other city town luminaries, and of course, the franchise owners Marc Magerman and Peter Weber.
Taffer’s Tavern has been called “the restaurant of the future.” And according to the press release, the pub-style restaurant is built around “Taffer’s vision to create an environment that is both communal and safe, with an aesthetic that offers an inviting, warm atmosphere to enjoy both the experience and the unique menu crafted by the leading chefs and mixologist.
