So I woke up to find out it’s National Dimples Day. Yup, it’s a thing. And so are dimples. I’ve always been fond of mine, so I figured I’d look into which of our favorite artists have the best cheek indentations. Take a look at a few beautiful country star dimples, below.
First, let’s do a shallow dive into the genetics of dimples. Are they inherited or do they just happen? According to health information website, MedlinePlus, surprisingly little research has been done to investigate the genetics of dimples, Plus, it’s not known which gene or genes may be involved. As stated in the article, dimples “tend to occur in families, and this trait is assumed to be inherited. Dimples are usually considered a dominant genetic trait, which means that one copy of the altered gene in each cell is sufficient to cause dimples.”
Country Star Dimples
When you think country star dimples, which artist comes to mind first? For me it was undeniably John Michael Montgomery. You remember “I Swear” and “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).” His dimples are the most pronounced of anyone I’ve ever seen. And he’s not the only one in the family. His son, Walker also has a beautiful smile highlighted by dimples.
But, who else can you think of in the world of country music with dimples. Of course, some indentations are more obvious than others. I think you will agree that the list below provides some of the most famous and fabulous dimples in the music genre.
Blake Shelton is as famous for his wit as his music. His smile sparkles when his dimples come out. So, there’s a couple on the list for you already. I bet Blake was on your mind when you read “country star dimples!”
In no particular order, here are 7 of my favorite country star dimples.
3. Blake Shelton
Ahhh those Blake Shelton sinkers are world famous. That smile of his makes you think he is up to no good, or about to make us all laugh. When Blake flashes his pearly whites, those dimples are hard to miss. Although, the beard does distract from them a little. The 2017 Sexiest Man Alive not only has wit, charm, talent and a boat load of hits to his name, but those dimples are as famous as he is.

6. Hardy
An extraordinary writer, Hardy (born Michael Wilson Hardy), has amassed quite a catalog of hits for other artists and now is on a roll with his own hit songs. Lots to keep Hardy smiling lately. He got married in 2022 and just scored his 3rd #1 hit with “Truck Bed.”

7. Dustin Lynch
Ok, so Dustin Lynch is most famous for his teeth, after his music of course! He is actually often asked about his big, white chompers as he told me in an interview recently. But how about some love for those dimples of his? The “Stars Like Confetti” artist has gorgeous dimples to compliment his pearly whites, don’t you think? Before he grew a beard they were even more obvious.
