It was one of those made for the movies moments.
22 year old North Billerica native, Marc McLaughlin grew up in a hockey town, dreaming hockey dreams, and longing to one day play with the big boys… His hometown team, the NHL Boston Bruins.
Last night, the clouds of a dream became a reality on ice. Marc, enrobed in black and gold, laced up and skated his way into Boston Bruins’ history. In the second period, on home ice at the TD Garden, and in front of more than 50 family members and friends, McLaughlin scored his first career goal in the NHL, as a member of his beloved Boston Bruins. Icing on the cake; The Bs wreaked hell on the New Jersey Devils, with a decisive 8-1 victory.
Honestly, someone write the screenplay for this feel-good hockey movie.
