What Classic TV House Did You Want To Live In?

When you were a kid and you watched TV shows like Mama's Family, The Brady Bunch, or if your family was more lenient Breaking Bad did you do what I did? Watch the establishing shot of the house and wonder "What is the rest of the neighborhood like? Could I afford that TV House? What is their monthly mortgage payment? Do they have an HOA? "

Ok, probably not those last two unless you grew up to put your face on yard signs and took a 4 month course to get your real estate license. But one of the reasons we watch TV is to live vicariously through the lives of the people on the screen. Whether they are The Bunkers, The Tanners, Or whatever the last name of the family on Malcolm In The Middle was. Getting wrapped up in their lives lets you forget your own and dream about what it would be like to be in their shoes.

Which TV House Could You Afford?

Of course most of the shows I just rattled off took place 10-20 even 50 years ago when houses were much more affordable before the sub-prime mortgage crisis killed The American Dream for two (and counting) generations of people. But would you be able to buy any of these TV Houses in today's market? Let's take a look.

My Criteria

I decided to get real with this. While many of the shows may take place the middle of America in fact many of the exterior shots are not in the cities that they claim to be in on the show. I KNOW! TV LIED?! Radio would certainly never do that. So I only picked houses that were in the exact location they are presented at in the show, or a reasonable distance from that location.
