Courtney went on a great first date with a guy, but she was running late and didn’t have a chance to use the bathroom. Towards the end of the date as he was leaving, he said something so funny that she accidentally peed her pants. But she’s not sure if he realized it. So now she needs to know if she should bring it up on their next date or pretend it didn’t happen. If you were Courtney would you mention that she peed her pants on the next date?
Ayla Brown: And good morning to Courtney from Cambridge. How are you? I hear you had a very interesting first date. So let’s chat about that. What the heck?
Courtney: I just need a little advice. I went on first date with this guy. Super nice. I went straight from work, So, I have a toxic trait, which is being late to everything. My last boyfriend, that was one of the reasons we broke up. So I’m trying to be really mindful about being 15 or 20 minutes late to a date, or anything we had planned. Not cool. I get it. Disrespectful. So I’ve really I’ve been working on that a lot. So, I had this date with this guy, I went straight from work and I didn’t want to be late I had to go to the bathroom, but I’m not going to be late. I’m not going to start on a bad foot here. Like this is the new me. And I just went straight to dinner, so I didn’t go to the bathroom. And at dinner, I had two glasses of wine. We had a great dinner, had some steak.
Ayla Brown: And then when you say you had to go to the bathroom. Do you mind me asking, was it just like you had to pee really badly or like……
Courtney: Yes, I just had to pee.
Ayla Brown: OK. Just then you’re like, I had steak and then I had a milkshake, and I’m like, Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh, This sounds bad for your bowels….
Courtney: I know, right? Like it. It was one of those things where I had to go, and then I sat down and kind of forgot about it. And then the date started. Great. And then all of a sudden I have to pee again So I go to the ladies room. It’s occupied. Like I’m waiting out there. And l know that my date had just ordered an Uber and I know the Uber was about to arrive. And then I tried to get the men’s room and it’s out of service or something. So no bathroom. But again, we had a great date, I wanted to say goodbye. So I like go out to hug him and say goodbye. And then I thought I was going to run right back into the restroom. And then he said something so funny. It was so absurd. Like such a bad accent, it was like Australian or Irish or an Irish Australian accent.
Ayla Brown: Is he from any of those places where he’s just like to talk to?
Courtney: Yeah, he cracked me up like we had referenced Australia earlier. And it was really cute but made me laugh so hard. I peed a little bit.
Ayla Brown: When you when you say a little bit, No, there is no way.
Courtney: It started and I couldn’t stop it.I his behind this plant I was next to and I really don’t think he noticed.
Ayla Brown: Okay. Do you have another date planned with this man.
Courtney: Yes. That’s what I don’t know. I just want to bring, you know, I feel like I should tell him. I don’t know if I should bring it up on the second date. Like, do I say something?
