Here are five fun things to do in Boston. There are actually quite a few more happenings than this, but these are just a few of my favorite things. (In no particular order). There’s a litte something for everyone from the traditional to the brand new; from the arts to the food and music. Take a look at these five fun things to do in Boston and decide which one or ones are for you!

  • Duckling Day

Got kids? This is an awesome way to spend Mother’s Day. I’ve done it many times, and generally follow it up with a ride on the Swan Boats. Make Way for Duckling Day and the parade have become a Boston tradion. Thirty years of seeing hundreds of kids parade through the Boston Common and Public Garden dressed up as characters from the 1941 classic Robert McCloskey book,  Make Way for Ducklings. Follow the parade starting at the bandstand  in the Boston Common and ending in the Public Garden at the famous Make Way for Ducklings sculptures.

  • The Greenway Food Truck Festival

It’s food truck season! And Boston is celebrating with the  2022 Greenway Food Truck Festival tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The menu options seem endless from basic burgers to bubble tea, dumplings and desserts. How perfect that the Greenway Truck Festival coincides with the opening  of the Greenway Artisan Market. You’ll find incredible work from localartists, crafters, and independent designers. The Trillium Beer Garden is right there, in case you get thirsty. Add fun to the fest with a spin on the Carousel or jump in the ring, literally at the Rings Fountain!
