While we are layering up, battening down and snuggling in for a long winter in New England. Take heart, there are many good reasons to put on your parka and head out the door. I’ve got a handful right here for you. Break out your boots and go to these 5 wicked awesome country concerts in Massachusetts before April!

Summertime means concert time, the outdoor venues around here are jammed packed. From the Leader Bank Pavilion to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, The South Shore Music Circus to the Xfinity Center, there’s no shortage of live music. But in comes winter, and nobody wants to come to town. At least, that used to be the case. Because of the enormous popularity of country music in New England, and artists expressing their love of playing here, shows are popping up everywhere in winter. We’ve all heard the stars say how they appreciate our passion for the genre. So let’s show them it’s true, and let’s show up.

Don’t Let The Wicked Awesome Pass You By

Go to these 5 wicked awesome country concerts in Massachusetts before April and you won’t be disappointed. Unless, you can’t get tickets, of course. In some cases you will have to purchase resales tickets, as a couple of these shows are sold out. Mass has you covered with concerts at the Paradise, the MGM Music Hall, the DCU Center and the Sinclair.

Nate Smith had the biggest hit of 2023 in Boston and he’ll be here next week for a sold-out show.  Scotty McCreery couldn’t be happier to be playing near Fenway, and CoJo with Justin Moore will be lit in Worcester. Get all the info you need about these shows and more, below. There’s ticket links, show time details and a little bio information for you, as well. It’s all here as we gear up to get more live music in our lives.

Oh, and keep in mind, you can enter to win free tickets to some of these shows, and many others, HERE. I hope to see you out at a show!

Coming off his career making year, the man who literally grew up in Paradise…California, is on a roll. Nate Smith’s debut single release, “Whiskey on You” went to #1 in no time at all. And it was just named the #1 in Boston for 2023 on the Country 1025 Top 50 Countdown. His latest release, “World On Fire” just hit #1 nationally. He’s 2 for 2 and batting a thousand. The man who very well could be the next Luke Combs is coming to the intimate setting of the Sinclair in Cambridge. So, as you would likely have guessed, this show is sold-out. But if you can get tickets somewhere, somehow, it’s bound to be worth it. And you can, on the Sinclair website, through AXS resale.

This thoughtful lyricist and rising rocker of a country star will bring the heat to Boston this month. The 23 year old singer/songwriter from Nashville has been at the game since he was 14 years old. That’s when he got signed to a publishing deal in Music City. He has his first top 15 hit to bring with him, and a truckload of energy. You won’t want to miss this one. And the price it right.

Scotty McCreery isn’t a New Englander, but he’s pretty darn close. He’s never shied away from showing his love of the Patriots and Red Sox. It’s in his blood, after all. His dad grew up in the Boston area, and his grandparents lived in Maine. So, he has spent a significant amount of time around here. He loves playing here and told me he is “pumped” to play the MGM Music Hall at his beloved Fenway this year. This will be his first time performing at the venue. See the recent Grand Ole Opry invitee and 2011 American Idol winner perform all his hits, including his 5 consecutive #1s!

  • 4. Bailey Zimmerman

    • DATE: March 21
    • PLACE: MGM Music Hall at Fenway
    • TIME: 7:30pm / Doors at 6:00
    • SPECIAL GUEST: Josh Ross
    • All ages
    • Tickets!

The last time Bailey Zimmerman was hanging around Fenway, it was last summer, on the field. He was opening 3 nights for Morgan Wallen. And the last time this hot new artist played the MGM Music Hall at Fenway, it was 2 years ago. He opened that show for Parker McCollum and blew everyone away with his high octane performance. The “Rock and a Hard Place” and “Religiously” star is baaack!  This time, you can see Bailey headlining the venue! This is one you won’t want to miss, but will have to lay down more money to see. The show is sold-out, but resale tickets are available.

  • 5. Cody Johnson

    • DATE: March 22
    • PLACE: DCU Center in Worcester
    • TIME: 7:30/ Doors at 6:30
    • SPECIAL GUESTS: Justin Moore/Drake Milligan
    • Tickets!

When you’re hot, you’re hot. And Cody Johnson is on fire. Coming off a couple of record years filled with awards, hits and admiration,  CoJo is rolling into town soon for The Leather Tour. The “Til You Can’t” singer is supporting his new album “Leather” which features his brilliant new hit single, “The Painter.” Cody is bringing some stellar talent with him. I mean, Justin Moore could be headlining the show, with his large catalog of hits. And Drake Milligan is a star on the rise. The show is getting close to selling out, so grab your tickets soon!
