For the first time in more than a cup o’ coffee, the US average gas price is under $4/gallon – however on my drive in to work I haven’t seen it under $4.20 yet. So I asked our listeners to let me know where they’ve seen gas at $4/gallon or less in Massachusetts and here are the results. This info was collected on 8/11/22 BTW in case you’re looking at this article way in the future when prices are hopefully more like 99 cents a gallon. Yeah right…

  Karen saw it at $3.89 at the Gulf station in Lynnfield

  $3.97 at the BJ’s in Stoneham according to Jess

  Gidget saw gas at $3.79 at the Gulf and $3.99 at $3.99 at Prime in Pembroke
  Shannon says the Shell station across the street from the Gulf is under $4 as well

• GROVELAND

  $3.93 as of Tuesday at Groveland Gas according to Rose

• North Andover

  Celia saw gas at $3.99 at Global in N. Andover

• FITCHBURG

  $3.98 at the Cumberland Farms in Fitchburg, says Mary

• FRANKLIN

  Melissa reports $3.89 at the BJ’s in Franklin

• HOLBROOK

  Margaret saw gas at $3.98 at Sal’s Gas in Holbrook

  Meaghan reports gas at Jimmy’s Garage in Wilmington at $4.03 – 3 cents over BUT she says it’s full serve so it made the list! haha
