Remember when restaurants shut down, or were forced to rely on take-out only? We had to cook. A lot. The pandemic certainly put the restaurant business knee deep in water. Far too many didn’t survive. Remarkably, more managed to swim their way out of it. Now, we have a chance to help support the local restaurant business in their efforts to recover.
If you’ve been out to a restaurant in the Boston area recently business appears to be booming, at least on the weekends. But many in the industry have been forced to dial it back, closing a day or two more a week. New England dining-out fans have a chance to celebrate and at the same time, support restaurants, with the annual Dine Out Boston event. Over 100 restaurants around the Boston area are participating in the prixe fixe menu theme. Starting this Sunday get out, and dine out! It’s a great chance to try out new restaurants, or visit old favorites you haven’t in a while. Participating restaurants have indoor and outdoor dining options, plus some have take out and delivery service.
The Greater Boston Convention and Vistors Bureau presents Dine Out Boston two times a year, offering special prices. There are different levels of pricing for participating restaurants. Dinners range from $36 to $41 and $46. And Lunch is available from $22, $27 and $32.
