Kruser’s Local Catch

One look at Kevin Herchen’s tour schedule should tell you a lot about this artist. He works hard, he’s in high demand and he’s easy to get along with. But, it all starts with talent. And you’ll find, here, that this New England singer/songwriter has plenty. Get to know Kevin Herchen from Providence, my Local Catch of the Week.

There’s a reason he was once named Nashville’s Songwriters Association “Ones to Watch.” And more recently achieved another great honor from the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International. You can read about that below.

Just listen to Herchen’s brand new release below and you’ll hear a well- crafted, skillfully executed and spirited piece of original music. Kevin knows what he’s doing. He’s been at the game most of his life and could literally play guitar before he could spell it. For the last 15 years he’s been performing all over New England, Nashville and other parts of the country.

New Music Coming Soon

On Friday, January 26, 2024 Kevin is set to drop a brand new song called, “Betcha.” It’s a little dark and sultry. Blending rock vibes with country storytelling, this song will take you to a place and time you’ve likely been. Have you ever been so attracted to a person that you can’t stop thinking about where they are, where they’ve been and what they are thinking? They haunt your days and nights. Herchen nails this one, vocally. The lyrics are evocative and the music is provocative. “Betcha” is the kind of song that draws you in from the first few notes.

Catch the music and stories of talented New England singer/songwriters every week, right here. It’s a great way to support our local artists. Meet Kevin Herchen from Providence, Rhode Island, my Local Catch of the Week, and find out where you can see him performing live.
