The Lady A front man has had a hand in writing so many songs, including album cuts for stars like Hunter Hayes and Miranda Lambert. But wait until you see the monster hits he co-wrote for some of country music’s biggest stars. From Darius Rucker to Brett Young, Charles has collaborated with some of the industry’s best. So check it out. Lady A’s Charles Kelley wrote these 5 smash hits for other artists!

As part of one of the most successful groups in the history of country music, Kelley has collaborated with some of the best. His writing work with Luke Bryan resulted in Luke’s first #1 hit. The hitmaking trio of Lady A has racked up a record-breaking 10 No. 1 hits, with more than “18 million album units, 34 million tracks sold and nearly 5 billion digital streams,” according to their website. Just a few of the many accomplishments of the group. Of course they are best know for their 11X PLATINUM hit “Need You Now.” That song is on record as the highest certified song by a Country group. Lady A has also earned numerous awards from the ACM to the CMA, 7 Grammy Awards and even a Tony Award nomination!

Charles Kelley grew up in Augusta, Georgia as the youngest of 3 boys. According to Wikipedia, he got into music because of his older brother, Josh, who is also a singer/songwriter (and married to actress Katherine Heigl. Charles and Josh and their oldest brother John even started a band called Inside Blue, when they were teenagers. He’s known his Lady A bandmate, Dave Haywood since middle school. And they even graduated high school together. Later, Charles met Hillary at a Nashville bar. They actually recognized each other from the social media platform MySpace.
