Thompson made some really great song choices on the popular competion show. But it was his decision to perform pop and R&B star Rihanna’s “Stay” that put him in an elite category, and eventually on to claim the crown. That performance on American Idol was a game changer not only Noah, but also his for fans, and the judges too. Luke Bryan, Katie Perry and Lionel Richie couldn’t contain their excitment at his choice, and performance, even despite the fact his missed a couple of notes. The Youtube video of the performance has earned over 1 million views. The song has also been chosen as Thompson’s next single release!
