Police say credit card skimmers have been found at a handful of Market Basket locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The list of stores can be found below.

I don't know about you but I'm so sketched out to shop anywhere right about now (including the internet!) because I rarely carry cash anymore. Skammers and thieves are installing credit card skimmers wherever they can and the latest place they've been found is our beloved Market Basket! Multiple locations have recently discovered that these skimmers have been being installed in their stores. Now police are urging Basket shoppers to keep an eye on their bank accounts and report any suspicious activity they may see. Time to be diligent so you're not victimized by these crooks.

The Market Basket skimming device ring has spread their skimmers to 5 stores that we know of so far in Mass and New Hampshire.

One sure sign (and probably the most obvious) is when the chip reader is inactive, jammed, or just not functioning properly. This prompts shoppers to swipe their card's strip, which is when the skimmer steals your info.

Anyone who thinks they’ve been impacted by the skimmer ring or has information on possible suspects in this case is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency. As we enter the busy shopping holiday season, let's stop these criminal grinches.

A credit card skimmer was discovered at the checkout at the Market Basket and Walmart on Storrs Street in Concord in October. Police have released surveillance shots of the suspects they believe installed the skimmer.

A credit card skimmer was found at a Market Basket in Nashua. The skimmer was found on October 27th. This is the 375 Amherst Street location.

A credit card skimmer was found at a Market Basket in Somerville. The skimmer was found on October 27th.

A credit card skimmer was found at a Market Basket in Reading. The skimmer was found on October 26th.

A credit card skimmer was found at a Market Basket in Haverhill. The skimmer was found on October 26th. I have a call in to see which location the skimmer was found in. I'm waiting to hear back and will update this article when I hear back.
