Who doesn’t love a good night of rooftop drinking? If you’ve ever partied on top of a building, under the stars, with the right temperature and the right friends, you know how magical that can be.
I personally fell in love with rooftop drinking (and hanging in general) when I lived in Baltimore for a couple years. The rooftop decks are a plenty there and the rooftop parties seem even more plentiful.
And now with proof that there’s a study for literally every thing ever, a new study ranks America’s Best and WORST cities for rooftop drinking. The results ain’t too pretty for Massachusetts. Two of our cities top the list at #1 and #2 for Worst Cities for Rooftop Drinking. Roof Repair/Inspection company Roof Gnome (awww cute name) put the study together. Roof Gnome compared almost 300 of the biggest cities in the country based on several metrics based around rooftop drinking – each city’s number of rooftop bars and lounges, accessibility of bars and lounges, consumer ratings, average affordability, etc.
As far as the good news goes, New York City topped the list which makes sense. When you run out of space where do you go? UP!! Los Angeles came in second, Chicago took 3rd, San Diego and Washington, DC round out the top 5 BEST Cities for Rooftop Drinking.
Now for the worst. *gulp*
I’ll give you the Top 5 Worst Cities in America for Rooftop Drinking according to that cute little Roof Gnome company. Then I will attempt to hunt down the best rooftop deck to party on in that city (Google don’t fail me now!).
So we didn’t do too good when it comes to rooftop drinking… but… we did do pretty well on another new list. Unfortunately it’s probably not what you want to hear so DON’T CLICK THIS LINK to see the story now.
