I love this time of year…. and dread this time of year. The weather starts cheering up, the sun is starting to feel a little warmer on my face, I’ve decreased the number of layers slung on my body – all good things. But with all the positive changes in the air also comes… the allergens.
This past weekend I noticed that the tree outside my bedroom window – right outside my side of the bed – is covered in buds. That means soon I will look like a prizefighter on the losing end as my eyes become an itchy, swollen mess. We must have the worst allergies in the state, no? The answer is no. We actually don’t.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has just released it’s 2023 Annual Report on Allergies in America. In it, they list the cities in America with the worst allergy problems and after perusing the list, it could be worse. A lot worse.
I’ll give you the Top 5 Worst Allergy Cities in America, followed by every New England city that made the Top 100.
