Could a constant flow of Dunkin’ lead to a longer, healthier life? It’s the only logical assumption I can come up with to explain the fact that Massachusetts was just named one of the best states for a long, healthy life. (I’m kidding. But with all these Dunkin’s and our unwavering love, who knows?)
Life Extension, a company with the objective of increasing the length of a healthy human life, gathered government data to identify the most favorable states for longevity. The analysis was based on life expectancy at birth and eight lifestyle variables: exercise, healthy diet, healthy weight, sleep quality, stress levels, social isolation, proximity to parks, and the amount that people spend on outdoor recreation.
Good news for Massachusetts (and two other New England states) ahead, here are the results:
