There’s alot more behind the reigning CMA and ACM Award winning Vocal Group of the Year thank their vocals. Lead singer, Matthew Ramsey, along with his bandmates Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung and Brad Tursi have been writing songs for other artists since they moved to Nashville. Matthew, Trevor and Brad have amassed the most songwriting credits in the band. They’ve written for their good friend Kenny Chesney, along with country superstars Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini and more. The band got their name from the state of Virginia’s nickname. Four of the five guys in the group have ties to Virginia. Ramsey and Sellers are both originally from Virginia. Sellers met Sprung and Tursi while at James Madison University in Virginia. Rosen is the only member with no connection to the state.
