I came across some grim findings: the life expectancy of residents in each county in Massachusetts. I guess it’s not really grim, I mean everything and everyone must come to an end at some point, and the data is simply based on the average age of residents when they passed so really it’s just data. Nothing grim to see here at all.
Data on deaths and births were provided by the National Center for Health Statistics and crunched by countyhealthrankings.org, where they broke down the life-expectancy of every US state county-by-county. Check out all of their awesome info over here.
As for here and now, let’s give you the info. I’ll give you the 4 Massachusetts with the longest life expectancies (they are predicted to live the longest) and the 4 Massachusetts counties with the shortest life expectancy (they are predicted to… uh… you know). If you want to see all of the data I’ll give you that link again at the end.
If your county is on the “shortest life expectancy” list would you consider moving to a county on the more favorable “longest life expectancy” list? If you’re out looking for a home would this even be a factor? My county is right in the middle of the pack and I’m A-OK with that!
So here we go! We’ll start with the 4 Massachusetts counties with the longest life expectancy, then we’ll give you the 4 Massachusetts counties with the *gulp* shortest life expectancy, then I’ll give you the link to all of the data in the land.
