The people at Shane.co looked at Google search and trends data to figure out the favorite retro Nickelodeon show in every state… and I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little disappointed with Massachusetts’ pick. So many great choices: Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Catdog, Spongebob Squarepants?!? None of those are Massachusetts’ favorite. Which do you think it is? We’ll get to that in a bit so think, think, think…

In the meantime I’ll give you the Most Popular Retro Nickelodeon Show in some of our neighboring states – I’ll throw in a few extra states too – then we’ll wrap it up with Massachusetts’ favorite. Let me know if you’re happy with our fav.

  Good pick! I give it a 8.5/10

  I’m surprised by this one. Good show but the loudness… never… ends and can get grating. I give it a 6/10

• Connecticut

  I’m sorry but this pick stinks!! All the great shows and you picked “Chalk Zone?” 1/10

• Maine

  For real?!? This pick is almost as bad as “Chalk Zone.” Almost. 3/10

• Vermont

  Underappreciated but still a solid classic. And who doesn’t love the hairy armpit guy who carries around his own eyeballs in his hands? Good pick, Vermont. 7.5/10

• Florida

  I was never a big fan – but apparently I’m alone on that so I’ll give it a 7/10

• New Jersey

  I wonder if Britney Spears detests this show. I don’t. 7/10

  I’ve tried to watch every Nick show since they started producing TV shows. I didn’t know this one existed until right now. I’m baffled. ?/10

  That is the Nick Toon equivalent of a musical “banger.” Very predictable so I won’t give it a 10 but… 9/10

  See Rugrats above. Spongebob is almost bigger than Nickelodeon at this point. However, it’s still on the air with new episodes so I’m docking it for not being a true “retro” show. 8.5/10

  What show won more states in the entire US than any other Nick show?

  Really? I would have guessed a good 20-30 shows before Danny Phantom. Wow. I’m out of touch.
