It’s almost time for America’s oldest country fair, The Topsfield Fair! This year will mark the 204th running of the popular annual event held on the fairgrounds in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Hundreds of thousands of funseekers will make their way through the gate, starting on September 30, to enjoy oodles of activities from rides, to games, music, competitions and other events.

This year’s Topsfield Fair is highlighted with a concert by country music star and actor, Trace Adkins. Trace is currently starring in the popular FOX TV series, Monarch, in addition to touring the country performing his music. There’s entertainment daily and absolutely something for everyone. There’s non stop action of  a demolition derby, racing pigs, baking competitions, the giant pumpkin weigh-in, horse shows, amusements rides of all kinds, and wide variety of food.

  • Dates And Ticket Information

    DATES: September 30 – October 10.

    ADDRESS: 207 Boston Street Topsfield, MA 01983

    TICKETS: Ticket prices for the 2022 Topsfield Fair are $20.00 each every day. Discount admission tickets are available at www.topsfieldfair.org through September 29, 2022. General Admission discount tickets can be purchased for only $15.00 plus a $2.00 convenience fee with the Fair’s new electronic ticket system. Tickets are good any day during the Fair’s 11-day run. A three-day pass, good any three days, is available for $45.00 plus a $3.00 convenience fee. Children under eight are free with an adult admission ticket. Discounted ride tickets are also available when purchased in advance HERE

  • Trace Adkins- The Way I Wanna Go Tour

    Don’t miss Trace Adkins and his THE WAY I WANNA GO TOUR at the Topsfield Fair Grandstand stage on Friday, October 7th at 7:00 p.m. The concert in included in the price of your admission ticket. As the press release acccuratley states, “This larger-than-life star has sold over 11 million albums and charted 20 songs, including “You’re Gonna Miss This,” “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and “Ladies Love Country Boys” and with the 25th anniversary of his DREAMIN’ OUT LOUD debut, the Grand Ole Opry member has 25 all-new tracks to celebrate from his latest album THE WAY I WANNA GO.

     

  • Rides And Games at the Midway

    Fiesta Shows presents the amusements in the Fair Midway each day, ranging from kiddie rides for the very young to thrill seeking teenagers and everything in between. There’s also amusement games to test your skill and win fun prizes.

  • The Giant Pumpkin Weigh In

    The popular competition includes giant pumpkins from all over New England. It began in 1984 and is still going strong today in the vegetable barn on the Fairgrounds. In more recent years, Steve Connolly from Sharon, MA managed to grow a giant pumpkin weighing in at a whopping 2075.5 lbs. That giant pumpkin set a brand new record for the state of Massachusetts, and for the Topsfield Fair NEGPGA weigh-off.

     

  • The Arena Shows

    The arena will be jammed packed entertainment for the whole family .Enjoy  horse pulling, oxen pulling, sheep dog trials, touch-a-truck,a stock farm tractor pull, a draft horse show, Championship Double Figure 8 Racing using compact, and a demolition derby. Get the days and times HERE. 

     

  • The Visual and Culinary Arts

    At Coolidge Hall you can explore canning and fine arts showcases, local artistians jewelry and crafts, baking contests and demonstrations, apple pie eating contests, wine making and much more.

    Visual & Culinary Arts - Topsfield Fair - 2023

    The Coolidge Hall Kitchen is constantly in use, whether for judging the baking contests or demonstrations. The most popular competition is the Topsfield Fair Apple Pie Contest, which can sometimes feature over 30 different pies! The smell of freshly baked bread also wafts out of the ovens and fills the entire hall with a homespun aroma.

  • Animals

    Cattle, goats, pigs, sheep and many more barn animals are there for petting, learning about and loving. And look who else is back…
