New Year’s parties in Massachusetts are known for: LAYERS. You have to wear lots of them. You’re normally freezing on your way out the door to the car so you’re all bundled up, then as the night goes on the clothes come off, keeping you temperature-regulated and happy. This year the need for New Year’s layers will be far less thanks to the warmest New Year’s Eve in Massachusetts in over 30 years!

The forecast looks wet but unusually warm! I spent a little time on Weather Underground‘s website punching in the date 12/31 for every year, looking at high temperatures until I found one comparable with this year’s New Years Eve forecast in Boston – our high this year is 54 degrees by the way.
