October 22: Dog Park Costume Contest
The Dedham Dog Park will be holding its first ever dog costume parade on Saturday, October 22 at 10 a.m. Plenty of treats, and no tricks. And of course, a grand prize for the best costume!

October 29: Doggone Halloween Dog Parade
Getting Champ all gussied up could pay off. Get creative and join in the fun Saturday October 29 (rain date October 30) from 12:-2:30 at Downtown Crossing. This is a year event that happens at Washington and Summer Streets in Boston. You must pre-register, but it's free!
October 30: Halloween Dog Day(s) and Costume Contest at Weston Nurseries in Hopkinton
No need to harness the fun, bring it on at Hopkington's Weston Nurseries October 30 from 11 am to 3pm. Prizes and surprises for all the participants and winners of the costume contest.
October 29: Halloween Block Party and Pet Parade in Somerville
From 3-6pm on the 29th bring your precious pet in Halloween attire to parade around Chuckie Harris Park and Cross Street. There's even a red carpet to walk, so the judges can see you and award a best costume prize!
The annual block party is part of an initiative to revitalize the area and park. Fun for the whole family here with plenty of activites and vendors. Find out more HERE.

October 29: Howl-O-Ween at Peters Park
Peters Park in Boston, at 230 Shawmut Ave, will host the costume contest parade.
Your pets are welcome to participate in this fun event. There will be prizes in several categories, including best costume for small dogs, large dogs and human/dog matching combo. When you pooch gets thirst and needs a pick me up, there's eve pumpkin spice lattes available from Red Dog Pet Resort and Spa! Plenty on vendors on site, too.
October 29: The Annual Canine Costume Parade in Jamaica Plain
This event is the OG of pet parades. Going into it's 18th year on October 29, starting at noon, the Canine Costume Parade takes place at 633 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, starting at the First Baptist Church and going to the Loring Greenough House. Parents and pets can walk the red carpet, and there will be local celebs to judge the costumes, for prizes. Find out more HERE.
