Ronnie Dunn is one of country music's premiere elder statesmen, but he still makes a point to stay up on what the genre's newbies are up to.

Part of that process involves listening to the radio, but Ronnie takes advantage of the latest digital technologies as well. "I listen to the radio these days about as much as I ever have," he says through his record label. "I'm also way into my custom playlist that I Bluetooth from my phone. It's so convenient to be able just to step into your car and play all the songs and the music that you want to hear. But I still turn the radio on, too, just to sometimes hear what's going on."

Keeping track of it all can be tough, but Ronnie gets at least some help from family. "So many new artists out there that are coming from, gosh, I don't know where, everywhere," he continues. "And I'll sit with my daughter who's 21 and a music freak and she'll turn me onto different artists and fill me in on the scoop there."

Ronnie is still making music himself, of course. Tatooed Heart was released last fall. The album was produced in part by Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus and can be purchased here.
