Irving And Hayward To Miss Final Pre-Season Game In Cleveland
Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward won’t be traveling to Cleveland with the Boston Celtics for Saturdays match up.
The season hasn’t even started – say it isn’t so!!!
Okay, don’t panic just yet.
It turns out that some of the younger players have been going rough on Irving in practice, or so he joked, “My ribs are hurting from practice. A few of the young guys have been getting after it.” So, for precautionary reasons, he’s going to sit this game out. Similar for Hayward, who is having some lower back pain. But, how’s his ankle doing? Coach, Brad Stevens says, “It’s great.”

No one will forget that just under a year ago the injury that Gordon Hayward endured could have been career ending. Instead, he had surgery and extensive therapy afterwards to assure he would be ready for this upcoming season that kicks off in 12-days.
Also, BIG NEWS for those worried Kyrie would be jumping ship next summer. He stated tonight at the Garden for a season ticket holders event, “If you guys will have me back, I plan on re-signing here next year.” YES! (see below, starts around 17 seconds in.)
