According to NECN, the collision happened on Route 3.
Massachusetts State Police were dispatched to the area shortly before 1:30 a.m., amid reports of a wrong-way driver.
The caller also indicated that the driver appeared to be driving at a high rate of speed.
Moments later, they received another call for help regarding a collision near Exit 32.
The wrong-way driver was operating a 2014 Nissan Altima that crashed into a 2010 Dodge Avenger.
Authorities believe the driver of the Altima was going about 100 miles per hour when the vehicle crashed into the Avenger.
The driver of the Altima died at the scene, while emergency crews rushed the driver of the Avenger to a nearby hospital.
Sadly, the victim died a short time later.
Neither person's identity has been released at this time, however, the driver of the Altima was a 42-year-old woman from Nashua, while the victim was a 21-year-old male from Hudson.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
