[WATCH] Idol Auditioner, Madison VanDenburgh Is From My Hometown!
Madison VanDenburgh was heard in all of the American Idol promos leading into Sunday nights episode that showcased her audition. To say she blew the judges away is an understatement!
She’s only 16 years old and auditioned behind the pearly whites of the piano with Dan & Shay’s “Speechless.”
VanDengbergh is from a small town in Upstate New York called, Cohoes. In fact, it’s about 30 seconds from my hometown of Waterford, New York. I drive through it each and every time I head back home to visit family. And it has had quite a bad rap over the last few years: A man set a blaze accidentally to a chunk of the town when he tried out something he learned on the History Channel show “Forged In Steel” (he was sent to jail for a year.) Most recently a murder rippled through the town. So, this piece of national news is very much welcomed!
