The Billboard music awards were last night, hosted by Kelly Clarkson who also performed. Dan and Shay had the most nominations and were nominated in the overall major categories but didn’t win any of them. They did take home Best Country Duo or Group. Other awards went to Florida-Georgia Line, who won best country song for their duet “Meant To Be” with Bebe Rexha, Carrie Underwood for Best Female Artist and Kenny Chesney for best Country tour. Luke Combs won three awards. He took home Best Male Artist, Best Country Artist and Best Country Album. Combs also announced yesterday that he would be releasing a new song tomorrow called “Beer Never Broke My Heart”

After the awards show, Joe Jonas and “Game Of Thrones” star Sophie Turner went to a Las Vegas wedding chapel and got married by an Elvis Impersonator. Instead of rings, they exchanged ring pops. EDM DJ Diplo broke the secret by posting videos on his Instagram story of the ceremony. Dan And Shay were there as well and sang Speechless at the ceremony.
Blake Shelton was on Ellen yesterday and she asked him when he was going to propose to Gwen Stefani. She then gave him a clock which showed Blake and Gwen kissing. It’s the same style of clock that she gave Alex Rodriguez the week before he proposed to Jennifer Lopez.
Marie Osmond is replacing Sara Gilbert on the daytime talk show “The Talk”. She has been a guest host in the past, and will be announced as a permanent replacement on Tuesday. She and Donny Osmond still have a Las Vegas residency that runs through November, so she’ll have to fly back and forth daily until then
