Aaron Rodgers makes his acting debut on HBO
Felicity Huffman pleaded guilty Monday to paying $15,000 to a fake charity that facilitated cheating when her daughter took the SATs. Prosecutors have recommended a $20,000 fine and up to four months in jail for her role because the crime is technically a felony. New information which came out during yesterday’s hearing revealed that Huffman paid Rick Singer, the mastermind of the whole scandal, to administer the SAT’s to her daughter in a private environment with extra time to take the test. She scored a 1420 out of 1600 which is 400 points higher than the first time she took the test on her own.
The Rolling Loud Festival in Miami is generally an R&B and Hip Hop Festival, but it took a turn towards country this year. Although headliners Cardi B and Migos stuck to the hip hop, their opener was Lil Nas X, who brought out special guest Billy Ray Cyrus to do their crossover hit “Old Town Road” live. Festival goers seemed initially confused, but they were won over by Billy Ray and ended up rushing the stage in excitement. Backstage Cyrus tweeted that he had never been to a festival as exciting as Rolling Loud, and joked about how many hip hop stars asked for pictures with him and his wife Tish.

Another celebrity had a cameo in this week’s Game of Thrones episode. Following Chris Stapleton’s turn as a White Walker in episode three, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had an unannounced cameo is episode five as a mercenary soldier. Without giving away any spoilers, things don’t end well for Rodgers’ character. But he clearly had a good time on set as he posted a photo of himself in costume to his Instagram account.
The finale for American Idol will air on May 19 and Luke Bryan has just announced that he will be stepping up his judging duties for the final episode. Bryan will be performing his new single “Knockin Boots” and performing a second song with recently eliminated contestant Laci Kaye Booth. Carrie Underwood will also be returning to the Idol stage for the finale. And Kane Brown, Dan and Shay and Jon Pardi will all perform duets with contestants from the current season. Immediately after the show, Luke Bryan will take off to prepare for his “Sunset Repeat Tour” which kicks off on May 31st and stops in Foxborough at Gilette Stadium on June 21st.

NFL legend Terry Bradshaw is apologizing this morning after making a few mistakes at a press conference for the Fox TV Network. He appeared as part of the “Fox Upfronts” panel to discuss the upcoming season and made the announcement that “The Masked Singer”, which will return in January for its second season, will debut after the Super Bowl in 2020. Bradshaw initially referred to judge Robin Thicke as Alan, mistaking him for his father Alan Thicke. But then he made mention of Ken Jeong, another judge, and clearly blanked on his name. He referred to the Korean actor as “the little short guy from Japan.” When panel moderator Howie Long corrected him and let him know that Jeong was Korean and not Japanese, Bradshaw responded that he didn’t care where Jeong was from because he had voted him off of season one. After some time to reflect, Bradshaw took to twitter to apologize, saying “I made an insensitive remark today about Ken, who I’ve known for some time, I’ve spoken to him about the importance of cultural respect and apologized for my offensive comments. I would like to also apologize to the Asian-American community for my insensitivity.”

Emilia Clarke, who plays Danaerys Targareon on Game of Thrones, stepped out in Houston this week amidst all the drama over her character’s storyline in the show’s last two episodes. The 32 year old actress was spotted courtside at the Houston Rockets playoff game. While Thrones fans have been heated about the events of episode five which aired Sunday night, the mascot of the Houston Rockets was still stuck on episode four. “Clutch the Bear” spotted Clarke in the crowd and took the time during a time out to run over and drop a Starbucks cup in front of her, referring to the infamous coffee cup which popped up awkwardly in front of her in the fourth episode. Clarke took the joke in stride and smiled for the Jumbotron, which caught all of the action.
