Aladdin is the new #1 movie at the box office. It made $86 million domestically over the weekend to take over the top slot. Will Smith and his family actually went to the theatre to watch the movie with a regular audience and managed to stay incognito until the movie ended and the lights came up. Smith and family then stayed to take pictures with the crowd

Adam Levine has announced that he’s leaving The Voice after appearing on all 16 season to date. Gwen Stefani will be taking over his chair on Season 17. Gwen famously met and fell in love with Blake Shelton during her previous two seasons with him on the show. Although Adam makes an estimated $26 million per season to appear on “The Voice”, sources say he’s been tired of the show for a few seasons now, and he is now more focused on his new project “Songland”.
Bill Buckner passed away over the weekend. Buckner, famous for his 1986 World Series error, which led to the New York Mets defeating the Red Sox in the World Series, was redeemed during a ceremony in 2006 when he threw out the first pitch at a World Series game. Buckner was 69 and had been suffering for years from dementia.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will have his own talk show on the USA Network. It begins on August 12th and its called “Straight Up Steve Austin”.
