The Archbishops of the Notre Dame Cathedral re-opened the famed church for the first time after its massive fire in April. But in order to be safe during services while the church is still under construction, the priests had to replace their traditional head wear with construction hard hats. Over 30 churchgoers were seen wearing the hard hats, in a scene which the Diocese says will likely last several months.
Jessica Alba was scheduled as a special guest at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, but almost wasn’t able to make it after she lost her passport and had to be escorted into the country. She says she was prepared to be early for her Friday arrival, but lost her passport during a layover in London. Because she was unable to board her commercial airline, the festival organizers had to find a staffer from the US Embassy in Monte Carlo and have him send a private plane to London with an emergency passport to pick up Alba and bring her to the festival. The opening ceremony for the festival had to be postponed and Alba was flustered when she finally did arrive, but it did eventually get off to its expected start.
