Carrie Underwood is the only female nominated in the Entertainer of the Year category at the CMA Awards and yesterday she revealed the real reason why she wants to win it. “I’m competitive and committed to what we do… But you know that award is about so much more than me. It’s about my team, all the people who work so hard with me…even the fans because it’s their awards too. I see the fans coming to multiple shows, calling the radio stations, trying to find my music!” She says in order to win an award like this you need to have it all. The performances, the album, tour, vocals, the songs, and she wants to be the person who excels at all of those things!
Kane Brown’s drummer Kenny Dixon died in a car accident and we’ve learned some more details about the accident. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, he was driving a 2016 Kia Rio about 40 miles southeast of Nashville. He was going at a high rate of speed at about 12:45am when his vehicle left the roadway on the right side and traveled about 100 yards before hitting a tree head on. The police at this time say that neither drugs or alcohol are suspected as factors and no criminal charges have been filed related to the crash. He leaves behind his fiancé Sarah and their three year old son. The couple were about to get married on November 30th.
