Boston Red Sox Pitcher Quarantined Due To Coronavirus Fear
The Boston Red Sox have quarantined a 20 year old pitcher from Taiwan in a South Florida hotel room over fears about the Coronavirus. The pitcher is Chih-Jung Liu and he arrived last week to start his first spring training with the Sox but the team is taking a safe approach to the situation which is why he’s in a hotel room. This is the second player from Taiwan who’s been quarantined due to the virus fears.

An email chain was forwarded to Barbara’s bookkeeper named Christine and it looked like it came from Barbs assistant, Emily. Well “Emily” told Christine that she had the green light to pay over $388k to a company in Germany. Problem is that this was not the real Emily!! They finally figured out the scam but it was too late. The money is gone but the IT folks say the original scam emails traced back to a Chinese IP address. Attorneys are involved to figure out the next move.
Kobe Bryant memorial items have been pulled by EBAY. The company thinks it’s bad taste and it’s against their policy which states that sellers can’t profit off of human tragedy or suffering. One XL t-shirt from the memorial already sold for $2,025
Squeeky clean George Clooney is taking action against a company that he’s been endorsing for years…Nespresso. He’s been the face of that brand since 2006 Looks like the Nespresso claimed that all of its coffee beans were sourced ethically, but after a journalist was given access to remote Guatemalan farms, it had children working in the fields. George has released a statement saying that he grew up on a tobacco farm from the time he was 12 so he is uniquely aware of the complex issues regarding farming and child labor. He also mentioned that clearly the board and the company have some work to do. Now Nespresso says that they have a zero tolerance for child labor and it’s immediately launching an investigation into the matter. They won’t be purchasing coffee beans from farms in that area until the investigation is closed.
