CDC Recommends Events Have Less Than 50 People For The Next 8 Weeks
If we’re going to stop the spread of coronavirus, large gatherings will need to be put on hold for at least the next two months.
So says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday, who recommends that all in-person events of 50 or more people be canceled for 8 weeks.
“Events of any size should only be continued if they can be carried out with adherence to guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations, hand hygiene, and social distancing,” said the federal agency, who also adds organizers should consider virtual options.
As of Sunday afternoon, the US has 2,900 cases of coronavirus, which has claimed the lives of roughly 60 people, according to The Hill.
