Holding signs, the group of nurses showed support for George Floyd and for the protests early this morning. They also took a knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, which was the amount of time former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on the neck of Mr. Floyd, back on May 25.
The charges against Chauvin were upgraded yesterday to 2nd degree murder. In addition the three officers who stood by as Floyd was killed were charged with aiding in his death.
