Sox Headed Back To Fenway Today
Take me out to the ballgame… virtually, of course.
Providing a small sense of normalcy, and a huge sense of warm, fuzzy, The Boston Red Sox are headed to ye ol’ ballpark today, ahead of their first workouts this season.
Just how many get to workout at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark will be determined by COVID-19 testing. Once tested, healthy players can commence workouts on Friday.
According to Sox manager, Ron Roenicke, no players have opted to sit out the pandemic. Last weekend he me with coaches to discuss how to keep everyone protected and socially distanced during training.
60 games are on the table for this season, and Roenicke hopes to get a couple of exhibition games in before the official start of the season.
